Adaptive Ambient Illumination Based on Color Harmony Model
SUMMARY We investigated the relationship between ambient illumination and psychological effect by applying a modified color harmony model. We verified the proposed model by analyzing correlation between psychological value and modified color harmony score. Experimental results showed the possibility to obtain the best color for illumination using this model.
متن کاملIllumination Independent Color-Based Face Detection
Computer vision is one out of many areas that want to understand the process of human functionality and copy that process with intention to complement human life with intelligent machines. For better human-computer interaction it is necessary for the machine to see people. This can be achieved by employing face detection algorithms, like the one used in the installation “15 Seconds of Fame” [8]...
متن کاملSpectral-Based Illumination Estimation and Color Correction
We present a statistical technique to characterize the global color distribution in an image. The result can be used for color correction of a single image and for comparison of different images. It is assumed that the object colors are similar to those in a set of colors for which spectral reflectances are available (in our experiments we use spectral measurements of the Munsell and NCS color ...
متن کاملDevelopment and Evaluation of an Improved Correlation Based PTV Method
An improved correlation based Particle Tracking Velocimetry (PTV) algorithm was proposed in the present paper. The path tracking of the tracer particles was achieved through a correlation operation of the small interrogation window around the studied tracer particles at two-time steps. The central positions of the tracer particles were determined by the correlation operation of the tracer parti...
متن کاملFast 3-d Microwave Imaging Method Based on Subaperture Approximation
In this paper, the subaperture approximation (SA) method for 3-D microwave imaging is presented based on the sparsity of 3-D image. The idea is that the sparsity information can be extracted from the lower resolution image obtained using the subaperture of the (virtual) array and be used for high-resolution imaging to reduce the imaging region. Thus, a recursion procedure that can significantly...
